Happy Mothers Day....

I wanted to say Happy Mothers Day to all of you and especially to my beautiful mother, Lynne. Like most of you, I think I have the best mother in the world. I am so greatful to have spent time with my her today. I am very blessed to not only have a mother, but to have a Godly Mother - a heritage that has been passed down from one generation to the next. In my heart I feel anyone can be a mother but it takes someone who is devoted to Him with all of her heart, sould and mind ... someone who strives daily - to be a Godly mother.

In Proverbs 31 God speaks of such a mother! I believe in this chapter it isn't only speaking of a Godly mother but a Godly women... a Godly wife. Proverbs 31 says: (V10) "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies." (V11) "The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil." (V12) She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life." (V13) "She seeketh wool, and flax, and worketh willingly with her hands. "(V14)She is like the merchants' ships; she bringeth her food from afar. "(V15) "She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens." (V16) "She considereth a field, and buyeth it: with the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. "(V17) "She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms."(V18) "She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night." (V19) "She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff."(V20) "She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy." (V21) "She is not afraid of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet." (V22) "She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; her clothing is silk and purple. "(V23) "Her husband is known in the gates, when he sitteth among the elders of the land."(V24) "She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant. "(V25) "Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come." (V26) "She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness."(V27) "She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness."(V28) "Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all." (V30) "Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates."

I thank God for all of the Godly women and Godly mothers I am honored to be friends with! I want to especially praise the Lord for Veronica, someone who has such a huge heart and seeks to serve the Lord with all she has. You have such an honest heart! To Amanda, I believe your running just as hard and fast as you can to get to Him! You can't get enough and it blesses my soul! You have the greatest testimony and your not afraid to share it! I love your boldness! Kristina, I hope that some day I can have just half the joy you express of being a mommy! Your so devoted to your husband and son. Stephanie, WOW! If you continue to open yourself up to let God use you I know you are going to be able to help women know what it really is to be a Godly wife and mother! Don't be afriad of saying everything "Just right"... when its from Him it is all that matters! You are ALL beautiful women and I have such JOY calling you friends. Thank you for being a friend to me and for being the example of a Proverbs 31 women/mother.

Happy Mothers Day to all you ..Becky, Faith, Gwen, Michelle, Sarah, Vivian and othes who may be reading my blog... I am praying for you and for your families!

Hey Christy,
I was thinking of you yesterday. While mother's day is a day of joy for many for others it can be a painful remninder of a hope unfulfilled. I was praying for you, that God would guard your heart. As Hannah cried out, the Lord heard her cry. And from that cry she concieved and brought for a son for the Lord. In His time I pray He does the same for you.

Sarah, you blessed my heart.I did rather well. I have prayed alot about this lately and I realize with a pure and honest heart every gift is straight from heaven. Whether it be a child, a husband, a friend, a mother, a daughter, a neighbor. I know God will bless me in His perfect timing. I have the most incredible husband so I am blessed beyond measure! Thank you for your sweet spirit, for thinking of me and for your prayers. I believe you when you say you have are praying, will pray or have prayed. Alot of times I think we hear that and in the back of our minds we wonder if that person really cared enough to stop and talk to the Lord on his/her behalf. That is priceless in itself. I can't wait to meet you in June. I am looking forward to your trip to AR. God bless you my friend!

Thank you, Christy, for the Mother's Day wishes! I thank God each and every day that I have friends in my life such as yourself. I was thinking the other day...do you realize how long we've had each other in our lives?!? I have been out of school for 14 years and we became friends in what, our sophomore year?!? That's a long time, my friend...through the ups and the downs. Thank you!
